Born in Naples, Italy, and educated both in Italy and the United States, Paolo's legal journey has been enriched by a breadth of experiences. After graduating from the Faculty of Law of the Seconda Università degli Studi di Napoli (J.D. equivalent 2003), Paolo embarked on a multifaceted career path. He began by practicing criminal law in Italy for several years before transitioning to the legal department of a multinational insurance company, where he served as a head of legal of the Italian branch. Paolo's commitment to legal excellence led him to pursue an LL.M. from the University of Connecticut School of Law (2016), where he expanded his knowledge of US corporate law and governance. He also had the privilege of training at the Department of Legal Affairs of the Council of Europe, where he delved into issues of human rights and governmental liability. Prior to joining BG International, he sharpened his skills as an associate at Pavia & Harcourt LLP, where he specialized in commercial law and M&A transactions. Beyond transactional work, Paolo advises clients on critical issues including sustainability reporting, bribery and corruption queries, and compliance. Fluent in Italian and French, Paolo leverages his linguistic proficiency to effectively navigate international legal landscapes and communicate with a diverse clientele.
